Aluminium façade cladding for modern architecture

Aluminium façade cladding combines functionality with architectural freedom. Aluminium lasts for decades, requires hardly any maintenance and offers numerous design options.

Nordisk Profil has been developing aluminum and wood façade systems for more than 30 years. The two Napsu and Alufac aluminum façade systems create solutions that adapt to the construction project and not vice versa.

Our aluminium facades

Certified climate shield made from the best materials

Alufac is a flexible and aesthetic facade cladding that adapts to your wishes without limiting architectural freedom. The system is built as a closed climate envelope that effectively protects the building from wind and weather – while at the same time the facade remains breathable thanks to the rear ventilation.

With its modular structure and the option of varying slat lengths, spacing, designs, and combinations with other materials, Alufac Panel gives you the freedom to design the facade according to the unique character of the building.

Design without limits with Alufac as the framework.

The Napsu system is an open façade system with Greenline recycled aluminum slats. The construction enables optimal rear ventilation and compensates for thermal movements, preventing internal stress and structural damage.

The slats can be installed horizontally or vertically. The system includes corner solutions, covering profiles and solutions for curved facades. All slats are available in all RAL and NCS colors.

The assembly works as a plug and play system with just three main components and is comparable to building with LEGO. Mounting rails are attached to the load-bearing façade, after which the aluminum slats are put on with one click.

The Alufac Panel is a closed facade system that provides complete weather protection. The aluminum panels made of Greenline aluminum protect against the elements, while the rear ventilation ensures that the facade can breathe. As with Napsu, thermal movement is fully integrated.

Each panel can move independently, preventing internal stresses from developing. The system includes a wide range of accessory profiles for door and window finishes and surrounds.

The panel solution comprises variable single, double, and corner panels. The fastening screws are concealed once the panels are clipped together, ensuring a clean appearance.

what are the features and benefits of a Aluminum façade?

Aluminum is a corrosion-resistant, lightweight, and stable material for facades. The result is a virtually maintenance-free facade that retains its appearance even after many years.

The modular design ensures flexibility, as components can be easily expanded, dismantled, and reinstalled elsewhere. This makes the systems economically attractive and future-proof.

Nordisk Profil uses only Greenline® recycled aluminum for all aluminum facade systems. This certified material consists of 100% collected and recycled aluminum and has a carbon footprint of only 1.8 kg CO₂ equivalent per kilogram, while primary aluminum causes 11.1 kg CO₂ equivalent per kilogram.

How long does an aluminium facade last?

Aluminium facade cladding from Nordisk Profil has a life expectancy of more than 70 years. The material is naturally corrosion-resistant and requires virtually no maintenance, making it one of the most durable facade solutions available for commercial and residential buildings.

Can aluminium facade slats be installed both horizontally and vertically?

Yes. The Napsu aluminium facade system supports both horizontal and vertical slat installation. This gives architects full flexibility to define the visual expression of the building — whether a classic horizontal rhythm or a vertical emphasis is desired.

Can aluminium facades be combined with wood, solar panels or green walls?

Yes. Both the Napsu and Alufac Panel systems can be combined with other facade materials, including wood facade cladding, solar modules, and green plant walls. The Napsu open facade system is particularly well-suited for combination facades, as it integrates easily with perforated sheets and expanded metal.

Are aluminium facades maintenance-free?

Aluminium facade cladding from Nordisk Profil is virtually maintenance-free. The material is corrosion-resistant and retains its appearance without treatment over decades. All systems use Greenline® recycled aluminium, which is certified and tested for long-term performance in all weather conditions.

Can aluminium facade systems be used for curved facades?

Yes. The Napsu system includes dedicated solutions for curved facades, in addition to corner solutions and covering profiles. This makes it suitable for buildings with complex or non-linear architecture.

What types of buildings are aluminium facades suitable for?

Aluminium facade cladding is suitable for a wide range of building types, including car parks, hotels, hospitals, educational institutions, residential buildings, stores, domiciles, and energy and utility facilities. The modular design of both the Napsu and Alufac Panel systems means they adapt to the project — not the other way around.

Why is CE certification so important?

All aluminum façade systems from Nordisk Profil are CE certified and meet European standards for safety, quality and environmental protection. Each component is tested and documented, which provides planning security for building owners and architects.

Nordisk Profil offers Woodfac systems for projects with special fire protection requirements. These wooden facades are the only ones on the market that have achieved the B-s1, d0 and B-s2, d0 classifications.

How sustainable is an aluminium facade system?

An aluminum facade cladding by Nordisk Profil has the best EPD values on the market. An environmental product declaration documents the environmental impact of a product over its entire life cycle and provides transparent information about the environmental balance of the façade.

All systems have a modular design and are easy to disassemble. Lamels and suspension systems can be dismantled and reused for other façade projects. Aluminum facades have a life expectancy of more than 70 years.

What is possible when you combine materials?

The aluminum façade systems can be combined with other façade solutions, whether with wood façade cladding, solar modules or green areas. Napsu is particularly suitable for combination facades, as the open system can be easily connected to perforated sheets, expanded metal or plant walls.

Exterior aluminum façade cladding offers optimal protection and modern aesthetics for every building.

How can we support your facade project?

Nordisk Profil offers comprehensive advice for every façade project. It is not just about façade cladding in the form of slats, but about complete façade systems that are ready for installation and take into account all façade elements.

With headquarters in Copenhagen and the German subsidiary in Paderborn, the team is available for projects across Europe.
