What is Woodfac panel?

Certified and fire-resistant climate envelope

Woodfac Panel is a unique façade solution that combines climate friendliness, fire safety and a strong architectural expression.

The system is designed as a closed climate envelope that effectively protects the building from wind and weather - and at the same time retains its breathability thanks to the ventilation behind it.

Woodfac panel consists of freely selectable Wooden lamellae, which are mounted on a recycled aluminum construction. The design can be customized, with the possibility of mounting the Lamellae both horizontally and vertically and with variable center-to-center spacing (cc-spacing).

Regardless of the size and style of the façade project, we deliver a complete solution that meets both the architectural vision and the structural requirements.
With Woodfac panels, only the imagination sets the limits for the design and possibilities of the façade.

Woodfac Click is a unique system with a large louvre panel on a bagged aluminum structure. With the help of bygningens bærende facade it is possible to compose a levende arkitektur, skabt gennem lys, skygger, materialer og design.

Woodfac Click is particularly well suited to the design of parking sheds.
The new facade system does not give parking sheds a visual wow-effect. This gives many parking garages a smooth appearance, but does not allow them to look like their surroundings.

With a lamellar coating, you get the opportunity to construct a fleet and durable parkeringshuse with a natural and warm finish that develops a soft patina over time.

Woodfac Panel is a lukewarm system that functions as an air conditioning system. The system consists of a valgrie trælameller mounted on an aluminum panel.

Alupanelerne has a ventilation system that ensures that the facades can be "opened".

The system is based on a wide range of security profiles for the detection and recording of wires, veins (lysing profiles) and other facade elements.

Wooden lamellae

Wooden lamellae are made from FSC®- or PEFC™-certified wood, which ensures sustainable and responsible forestry.

 

The thermal treatment of the Lamellae ensures dimensional stability and an exceptional service life of up to 50+ years, depending on the type of wood.

THERMAL MOVEMENT

Thermal movement refers to the natural expansion and contraction of materials as a result of temperature fluctuations.

Thermal movement is integrated into all our facade solutions so that the individual components can move independently of each other. This ensures that there is no internal stress, strain or structural damage to the individual components or the entire façade solution.

ALUMINUM STRUCTURE

The structure and profiles of the façade system are made from certified recycled aluminum.

Greenline® aluminum is made from 100% collected and recycled aluminum and has an extremely low carbon footprint of only 1.8 kg CO₂-eq./kg, compared to primary aluminum, which has a footprint of 11.1.

Another special feature of the facade from Nordisk Profil is that it is installed completely without visible screws. This gives the façade a clean and clear appearance that is not disturbed by drill holes in the beautiful wooden slats.

The diversity, variety and unique architectural design of the buildings help to make the cityscape lively and exciting.

Nordisk Profil wants to contribute to this development by offering flexible and complete facade solutions , which, with its suspension system, enables the realization of combination façades with a variety of expressions and designs.

Woodfac can be combined with partial solutions and can, for example, be combined with perforated sheets, expanded metal, trapezoidal sheets, profiled sheets, etc. All Lamellae can also be installed vertically, horizontally and as a curved façade, resulting in a very soft and organic appearance.

FIRE-SAFE FACADE SYSTEM

Nordisk Profil sets very high standards for fire protection and is at the forefront of end-user solutions.

In fact, as an installed Facade system , Woodfac is the only facade solution on the market that has been tested and approved in accordance with European standard EN 13501-1. And passed according to B-s1,d0 / B-s2,d0 - depending on the type of wood.
