Aesthetic addition made of wood

Borgernes Hus - the new town hall in Vordingborg, Denmark - is a welcoming and modern building that has been constructed with a focus on sustainable materials - both inside and out - while respecting its surroundings.

In combination with classic bricks, the façade is broken up in places by Wooden lamellae made of thermal pine, which act as warm and characterful design elements. The Lamellae are also used in the entrance area and as ceiling cladding, creating a harmonious and coherent overall look.

The Facade system Woodfac Panel was used - a closed system that serves as weather protection and protects the load-bearing facade.
It can be used flexibly for complete facade surfaces, but also for screening, surface structuring or as a ceiling solution.

In this project, thermal pine Lamellae (34 x 34 mm) with a center-to-center distance of 70 mm were used. The wood is fire-tested and meets the B-s2,d0 classification.

Nordisk Profil offers classification tests and full documentation for several types of wood. You can find more information about our fire safety certification in our brochures.

The load-bearing structure and profiles of the Woodfac Panel System are made of Greenline® aluminum, which is characterized by a particularly low CO₂ footprint and excellent EPD values.

For us, quality and sustainability go hand in hand. That's why all our solutions are fully documented - so that you can rely on a long-lasting façade that meets today's climate requirements.
